Trent Acid, along with Tag Team partner Johnny Kashmere formed the Backseat Boyz. A rip-off of the Backstreet Boys, Trent and Johnny have become fan favorites, especially with the ladies, who in pre match tradition, stuff dollar bills in the pants of the duo.

Trent and Johnny have made a name for themselves on the Independent circuit, most notably in CZW. When CZW became "partners" with ROH, The Backseats were the first CZW stars to pop-up on an ROH show. That show was Glory By Honor, where the backseat Boyz challenged Homicide, and whoever else in the back wanted a match, to a Tag Team Match. Steve Corino came to Homicide's side and the four men had a fantastic Tag Team Match. Corino turned on Homicide in that match, eventually leading to the Backseats' victory.

Since then, The Backseat Boyz have become the ROH World Tag Team Champions on one occasion, defeating Izzy & Dixie of Special K in the final of a gauntlet series for the vacated Tag Titles at Glory By Honor II. However, they never successfully defended those titles, as they lost them to Izzy & Dixie less than a month later. That may have been a factor in The Backseats eventual split. Since the split-up of the two, Kashmere seemed to disapear from ROH. That didnt stop Trent however, as he became the self proclaimed "Master of the multi-man matches", having competed in, and winning most of ROH's signature 6 Man Mayhem matches as well as competing in many of the Scramble Cage matches.
